Ingredients
  

For the Stir-Fry
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil vegetable or sesame oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 cup bell peppers sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 medium carrot thinly sliced
For the Sauce
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Optional: red pepper flakes to taste

Method
 

  1. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add the cooking oil.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  3. Add the chopped onion and cook for 2 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in the garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots. Stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and water.
  7. Pour the sauce into the pan and stir well. Cook for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
  9. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef to reduce excess grease.
  • Prep all ingredients before cooking since stir-fry cooks quickly.
  • Serve over rice, noodles, or in lettuce wraps.
